I especially liked seeing Angel's Share (the episode of Stand Alone Complex that aired this past Saturday on Adult Swim).bass15 wrote:right now its Full Metal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex...both r very good
Just when Chat! Chat! Chat! and Machines Desirantes slowed things down, Ag20 and Angel's Share started picking things way up again.

Monster - Episode 42 ("The Adventures of Magnificent Steiner")
You thought the plot couldn't possibly thicken any more? Bam! I bet everyone who's seeing this for the first time is sitting there baffled right now.
Holy crap. This is, I think, the darkest and most gruesomely evil episode in the series to date - and amazingly, not at all because of the usual suspects.
For those of you who thought "blah, what's with this new dude" when he first took centre stage two eps ago - if you're not in awe of Grimmer by the end of this one, I would be very surprised. (we're now starting to touch some of the reasons why he's my favorite anime character ever)
And did they ever get this one right in the anime! Another shining example of how it builds the athmosphere and suspense of an already-excellent original.
And if that wasn't good enough, another one of my most favorite characters shows up next episode...

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
