AVS Error-Can't open source/obsolete D2V file

Post by Elfed » Thu Mar 17, 2005 8:17 pm

I know a good bit about making music videos, but I recently reformated my computer and now had to re-do the entire procedure of putting files on the comp so I can make them again. I followed the guide perfectly, or so I think. I've ripped the DVD, opened the VOB's in VirtualDubMod, saved them as a D2V file. Made an AVS that says as follows:

MPEG2Source("C:\Documents and Settings\K\Desktop\Footage\FF\FF1.d2v")
Telecide()
Decimate(5)

I save it, and yes the location is definately correct to the D2V file. I tried to open the AVS and I get the following error in my player:

MPEG2Source: couldn't open source file, or obsolete D2V file.

I've searched the forums and the only thing I've been able to found useful was uninstalling VirtualDubMod 1.77 and downloading 1.76, that seemed to have altered the error...because I think it was different when I saved made the D2V in Virtual 1.77.

Any clues?

The error means what it says it means: the plugin doesn't know how to work the D2V you generated.

Use DGIndex with DGDecode; ensure that it's DGDecode.dll that is being loaded to provide MPEG2Source, not MPEG2Dec3. Both programs are in the AMVapp.
