You aren't going to learn kanji sitting at your computer. Get a book. Get flash cards. Get a secluded cabin on a mountain. Start drilling. Repeat.

Get a class. Japanese 101, that type of thing.

I'm not the one to ask, but maybe a book and audio set would work for learning Japanese and the pronounciation.

Honestly, I'd have to agree with everybody here, you can't really learn much just reading off the internet...

The little japanese I know, I learned from fandubs, if that's any help >.< lol

Find a community college nearby and take courses.

No matter how hard you try (or claim you'll try), you will not learn Japanese by yourself. Sure, you can advance your studies in conjunction with a class (someone in my class jumped straight from Beginner I to Intermediate I because he studied outside class), but this language is near impossible to learn without the guidance and structure of a classroom.

And even then, it's a stretch. If you can shell out the money, there are language schools in Japan (mostly geared towards businessmen) that will make you fluent (as in, literally, being able to pass the fluency test required for citizenship and to start businesses) in 12 months. 3 months of these places is about equal to 3 years worth of Japanese at an American university.

I used to get books from the library, they may have audio tapes for loan, also. Other than that, try doing a general search on Japanese language lessons. I used to visit http://physics.uwyo.edu/~brent/jal/jal-home.htm
but sometimes if I'm stuck on a phrase I'll just search on the word and add "translation" and see what results I get.
