Monster
(too serious for some, best show bar none for others like me)
psychological thriller/mystery
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Windy Tales

Interesting experimental animation, a sweet slice of life series.

GITS:SAC2
Samurai Champloo

I thought Negima was disappointing tho, seeing as how Love Hina was very decent.

Hmmm, lets see. The ones that OtakuforLife mentioned about Mai-HiME and Elfen Lied I agree with. Plus:

Air TV
(supernatural, romance, drama)

Absolutely gorgeous animation, very likable characters, great comedic moments, and interesting storyline that'll make your heart ache. Anyone who likes Kanon or to some extent Haibane Renmei, definetely check this one out (yea I went over the given limit, but meh  ).

Tsukuyomi ~ Moon Phase
(supernatural, some drama, comedy)

Uh, vampire neko girls. Best combination for ultimate CUTENESS (along with freaky "Soultaker" moments)! 8-)

More input on the ones I'm following right now like Tsubasa, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and Loveless will come once more episodes are released.

Loveless: Yaoi Cat-boi with super powerful love interest

Bokusatsu Tenshi, Dokuro-chan: Uber disturbing

Tsubasa Chronicles: Proof that CLAMP's staff is on every known illegal narcotic known to man. Throwing all your characters together in the same anime, geeze, at least it looks cool, and plot seems great.
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death
Nor known to Life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, unlimited blade works.

I agree with the poster about Monster, certainly one of the best anime series being done, in my opinion. It also looks like it can actually run a considerable length without getting tiresome.

My recommendation is Starship Operators. Incredibly intelligent science-fiction that is compelling.

The Naruto series is pretty nice. However too bad its all going under because it was bought out.
