I haven't sent to the AX contest since 2003 so I got a question to anyone who's recently sent in a digital submission.

Do you send an mpeg2 file or an authored dvd with the video on it?

probably better off sending it as huffyuv (if they'll except it...). a 4-5min video should onyl take about 1-2gigs on the dvd.

They wouldnt mind that would they? Not even if they plan on importing data from the disc?

I send HuffyUV copies on DVDs but if the file is too large (my Beserk AMV from last year had no chance of fitting on a disk alone) I go with MPeg2s.

Well, I'll send a dvd with the huffy and mpeg 2 and maybe another dvd for just general playing.

Always good to play it safe.

I think ill just send huffy UV....cuz if im making it huffy UV itll be way to large to fit both MPeg 2 and HUffy!

not really... i'm sending both my fanime entries on one dvd-r with both huffyuv and mpeg2 version of em... and there is still room! hehe... i guess it depends on how compressable your videos are and both videos are 16:9 so less data per frame.
