Wierd lines when I play my AMV and AMV size.

Post by lilmrhalfazn » Wed Apr 20, 2005 5:52 pm

Alright, well I recently finished an AMV of mine, but I tried playing it back on DivX and also on Windows Media Player. Both times, my video while on Premiere looked fine, now has some odd looking lines going across it, mostly when things move around. The video I used was ripped from a dvd so I don't know if it is that or not. I was thinking it might be the way I exported it, but I am not sure because I don't know the difference between the options I have for exporting.

The other problem is, is that every time I try to save it the file is huge the smallest being like 200 some MB now. I am not using any effects in this, and all together it is only 3 minutes 30 some seconds in length.

Does anyone have any ideas for these problems?

Sounds like interlacing. Did you IVTC?

I read that, but I didn't really understand it XD. I was worried it may have been interlacing, but when I found out my video was like this I wasn't sure if there was anything I could do.

Is there any way to fix it still?

Yes, but it's far easier to ix it before you edit. Now read this. That's designed for preprocessing, which you should do in the future. For postprocessing, read this.
