Do u get this wierd prob in Vegas or V. Movie Studio??

Post by Ninjafox » Thu Apr 07, 2005 7:06 pm

Dont know if this has occured to other people but for some reason something wierd happens. Im currently working on an amv on Vegas MS and i hav clips all along the "video overlay" as well as on the "video" track and some on the "text" track. Now the problem is when i finished editing a few clips on the video track i previewed them until i noitced that all the clips on the video overlay track were all out of place..they were all dragged like 5 seconds before the beats. Now i would be pissed, but this is the 2nd time thats happened and well i guess it gives me a chance to edit the video overlay track..again -__- any clues?

I haven't used MS for any projects, but I did use an earlier version of it back when it was called VideoFactory. Never had this kind of problem, though. Not with the full Vegas, either.

You could check the Sony site and forums for any bug reports. They might even have an update file (should be free).

Are all the overlayed tracks moved precisely? If so you might have ripple editing enabled. Basically if you move one object on the track, everything after it gets affected as well.

I'm using Vegas MS right now and I don't have that problem.

Turn off auto ripple. What's happening is everytime you move clips around, the clips around it are being scooted over.
