I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that. <3

What would happen if the longstanding members started spamming every new member with thousands of "hi" PMs? I don't think they'd complain as much.

Why aren't I getting any "hi" PMs?

I wondered that too till I realized the person probably PM's those who are 'viewing' the same forum section he is. It would depend on what sections you go into, how often and how long you're in there. If they can see your name, they can do a quick click and PM you (someone they *know* is there and available to respond).

Me, I don't and probably won't have this problem. I don't make my status visible when I'm lurking about the forums. If they don't know you're there, they won't have reason to contact you.

/This is assuming it isn't an old member having fun by spamming his friends and pretending to be a few newbs.

Without any evidence that its being done in bulk, I'd hesitate to call it spam.

As further evidence, I do not receive several per day (maybe I've gotten one over the last few months, don't remember for sure). And its well-known that I receive copies of all spam sent over the Internet. Therefor, it can not be spam. QED.

According to Phade, one person recently sent 99 of them. I'd call that spam.

Just for the record I've had to two sent to me within a minute of each other both with simply "hi" and nothing else in the message. I replied but got no answers :'¬ [

Spam that hurts the chest muscle.
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

I received one some time last week asking to op a video. I simply deleted it.
