Interesting Download Alternative
It's been a while, I've been at college, been away from the whole AMV making, watching, community. But, I just recently saw that Google is beta-testing a video service. Obviously this brings the legality issue of AMV's to light again, and I'm not exactly sure they would be classified as 'Authorized Content.' Not sure if this has been brought up before, and it's still in beta. At this time I don't think it's a viable alternative to this wonderful place, but who knows what could happen in the future? Any thoughts?

The search tool is your friend. This topic has been discussed before, e.g. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... ogle+video
but who knows what could happen in the future?
Well, considering that copyright on works used in most AMVs extends long past the time when we'll all be dead from natural causes, nuclear war, or both, I don't think we're going to have any luck anytime soon, unless the existing copyright structure is overturned in a bloody worldwide revolution.
The odds of that happening are two-to-the-infinity-minus-one-to-one against, which is a number that only has conventional meaning in Improbability Physics. So, in short, no.
