is it just me or is Fruits Basket a reverse harem anime?

I mean ms honda is with all those dudes and like they all dig her , personaly i dig her too she is so like my girlfriend (slave_4_anime). so please add your opinion, cuz I would so like to see more animes like this.

Yes a reverse harem indeed ryan-chan. But well I do oh so envy Tohru! hehe

anyways I would also like to know if there are any other animes like this out there. I can't seem to find any. So please reply if you know of any I won't beg but well (kneels and crawls over grovling at your feet)

I may have an anime that has the reversage but if so I havn't watched it yet

There's plenty of them out there, just maybe not as many as the girls-piled-on-guy style. Start with Fushigi Yuugi.

I have seen that one but I guess I didn't think of the reversal at the time. It is there though as you said and it is one of my favs of anime. I guess there just weren't as many guys after her as there are for tohru. anyways thanks and people please keep posting more animes with the reversal harem theme. (where girl has multi guys)

And as for me I do recommend fushigi yugi along with fruits basket!

OH and please discuss if you think that marmalade boy is also a reversal on the harem theme. I myself am not sure but I think it might be.

YAY for me! here it is

Hana Yori Dango - TV - 51 Episodes -

Hana Yori Dango is a classic school romance, and very nearly a harem comedy in reverse. Tsukushi Makino has entered a high school ruled by the F-4, four accomplished, wealthy, male students. Men worship them, women fall at their feet… well, mostly. Makino attracts the attention of their leader, whom she does not initially respect (yet would rather one of the others showed more interest in her). After this, things simply get complicated… but that’s as it should be in a school romance.

I plan on looking into this one seems like a good reversal of the harem theme!

Question: How many guys do you need for it to be considered a harem anime? If it's 2 or more, you can include Escaflowne and Inuyasha - any anime where a single magical girl goes to another world, you can bet all the guys around will be drooling over her for no apparent reason.

well I think it would be more than atleast 3 or more guys. I didn't think of inu I guess because on fb, fy, and other such the main plot is based on that reversed harem theme. I have yet to watch the escaflowne series I have it though. thanks for the reply. I may be wrong but then again AEther will correct me if my numberage is wrong.

Nyar, in Escaflowne, it was really only 'tween Hitomi, Van and Allen... Oh, two or more, SHUT UP. I knew that. >> Regardless, Allen was a playboy. Stick him with a buncha anime chicks and you'd have tons of Allen Jrs running around.

But Fruits Basket isn't really a harem anime. The only two that go for Tohru is Kyo and Yuki. Hatsuharu doesn't seem to like anyone; Momiji is a shim; Aya-chan, Gure-san, and Tori-san, like, are straight; Akito just pwns and doesn't seem interested in her (I could be wrong), And... Nyar.

So it defintely ISN'T a harem Anime.
