If you're ashamed of your hobbies, find new hobbies.

AMV making is incredibly dorky, IMO, dorkier than mere anime watching, and on par with cosplay - no matter how much cooler AMV editors think they are. ;P However, if it's fun for you, you just have to have the self-confidence not to care about what other people think of your hobbies.

I'm nearly 30, dorky as all hell, and having quite a good time. I didn't even get into anime until after college. I really don't care.

Some people do want to fit in so badly that they'll ditch things they love in order to be approved by others. I feel sorry for them. But if it bothers you that much, go... play football or have unprotected sex or whatever it is that mainstream kids do these days. Ya whippersnappers.

Once you get to a certain age, words like "dork"
don't mean much. Everyone is using all of their
energy to scrape what little dignity they can out
of their corporate bullshit job and attempting to
gain some semblance of joy out of their short,
insignificant, bullshit life to care who calls them
a "dork".

Of course, that could just be me.

AMVs are for everyone it is never dorky, just a thing people like to do I myself am olny 14 but i'm sure i'll still be making them in yrs to come.

AdultSwim and I was hooked.

We all have our little idiosyncratic quirks;
it is what makes life worth living. What is
the point to life if you are going to follow
some predefined path that is considered
"normal". Geez, people, "normal" is defined
by television and pop culture; hardly experta
on the matter.
