  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

It was okay, everyone else has pretty much stated what could of been better. Honestly I think you could have (or should have)* used the other Sky Captain teaser trailer (the one with the noticable Stargate music), this one wasn't that good of a teaser to begin with. *was edited
I know, but that was what they had on the DVD. No other trailers were on it. :? If there are others that are high quality and on DVD somewhere, let me know.

Why are a few seeing problems while others see no problems?
I guess some are just more critical than others... :P

To me, I just don't see anything wrong. I can say a lot about the previous trailers I've done that could make them better. That would have to go to the lip syncing department. Plus, those ones were made for fun. Except for Queen of the Damned: Bloodlust. That one was serious.

A lot of work went into the lip syncing. A lot more than the previous trailers I've done. Frame by frame editing is nothing to laugh at. I also tried matching action for action with the original trailer for the most part. If someone was talking, they were talking.. If something was going on, something was going on. I don't know.. I tried making this a more serious one... Even making it look like a fake movie with a title that came from the anime itself. So people would make the connection. To help with the parody feel are the website, poster, premiere date, etc...
Has anyone else put so much work into doing something like this? 8-)

I guess some were looking for comedy and didn't find it. So critique the lip syncing...

If you like it, you like it. If you don't, oh well.

Just my point of view. :|
Now to work on something else. 8-)

Don't get me wrong, I thought the lip sync was great. I just thought there was a little too much of it, but that's just me.

The line "I'm on my way" is probably one of the most natural and well-done looking lip syncs I've ever seen.

I'm lovin' this

I liked it as much as I like any good trailer.

Not to mention that theres a real website up that looks like a real movie website... great job on all that attention to detail. Although downloads don't work on it. I personally didn't see any technicall errors in it.

The lipsync was great, but not quite as natural feeling as IWIWAL and Fluxy's beebop trailer. still those are like the best I've seen, and you were close.

Excellent trailer, Hitori! I really love the last few seconds (zoom on the ship crossed with zoom on Al). :D

Man....Why do trailers have to be so flashy now-a-days....

Well, I didn't expect to hate it, so you met my expectations. Good job on a quality video. As previously mentioned, it did seem like there was a bit too much lip sync. With trailers, its more about action, flashy images and blowin' up shit. Do more of that, and less of the talking and you'll be good. (That's what brings people into theaters anyway...)
