Help exporting in Vegas Movie Studio 4

Post by Ninjafox » Sat May 07, 2005 7:05 am

hiyaz, ive juss finished my vid on Vegas MS 4 and now i need to export it. My problem is everytime i export anything bigger 352x240 (cause im usin widescreen footage) you can see like transparent white lines. When i go to project properties i put the following options as:

Width: 640
Height: 352
Frame rate: 29.970 (NTSC)
Field order: None (progressive scan)
Pixel aspect ratio: 1.2121 (NTSC DV widescreen)

Are these lines on the borders? Or maybe horizontal lines like interlacing?

yeh there horizontal lines, and how do i convert to mpeg2 or avi? at the moment im exporting it in mpeg1, cause mpeg2 and avi take way too much space and probably time cause it takes like an hour and a half juss to export in mpeg1 even though its about 60-70megs

Seeing as your an aussie, change the frame rate to 25fps (PAL) and pixel aspect ration to PAL, which are the standars for dvd.

Download and install huffyuv, then export the video into that to make a nice, "prefect" quality file. Then read this guide on making a final render in xvid.

Make sure "Stretch video to fill output frame size" has a checkmark in it. You'll see that box when you're at the rendering stage... you know when you're giving the video a name and choosing how you wanna render it.
