I hate protected audio files!!!!

Post by Bauzi » Fri Apr 15, 2005 12:49 pm

From Bauzi:
 Now there are not only illegal mp3 downloads, but also legal^^
Now I´ve downloaded two wma files and I wanted to use them, but they are specialy protected ;_; I also can´t burn them on a normal Audio-CD.

How can I rip these audio files, so I can use them?
Is there a programm for this work?

And if the programm is illegal, then please tell me with an normal PN^^
THX

[paizuri: Don't ask about illegal programs again or you will be banned regardless of whether anyone actually sends you a PM or not.]

Well, there's always the analog gap. No file-level protection is going to patch that.

You could just play them back and sample them with a program that does recording (like Audacity), if nothing else.

Chances are that you can make unprotected audio cd's of wma files with windows media player, and nothing els.

Iether that or try what scintilla sujested, with audacity, it works.

However the best way to get music is to buy the cd's. It may be more expensive and it means you'l have to get of your ass and out into the sun but its getneraly worth it for full quality audio.

you could also use a p2p prog to download whatever song is it

Plug your computer's audio output to a tape recorder and record it on there, then record it back to your computer.

Or, just skip the tape recorder, and run a line from the out on your sound card to the line in.
