The best of the "new" anime series.
Hey guys and girls, I'm looking at getting back into anime. Namely anything that's no more than 9 months old. (I'm not asking about getting it, just suggestions for titles).
I'm thinking anything along the lines of magical girl, mecha, shoujo, comedy, fantasy and even the just plain bizzare.
If anyone can take pity on someone who has been re-noob'd I'd greatly apppreciate the help.

Ok, after contemplating on those descriptions, I also suggest you check out Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. The first few episodes may seem like a CCS ripoff, but once another rival magical girl named Fate enters, it seriously gets better. Hell, I think this is one of the few magical girl series where action scenes actually take up about half an episode (as oppose to at least 20 min of "slice-of-life" issues and then monster-a-day battle).Declan_Vee wrote: I'm thinking anything along the lines of magical girl, mecha, shoujo, comedy, fantasy and even the just plain bizzare.
Then when those two team up, that's where it gets awesome since around the last few episodes before the final battle, they use their magical powers in order to fight a bunch of mechas! Lots of destruction!

don't know if Aishiteru Ze Baby is too old, but I'd snap that up QUICK! Beck is great too. You might like Full Moon Wo Sagashite more than I did. Air is just plain great (though suprisingly un-rewatchable imo ;p). Don't touch Mai Hime or He is my master!! Ya might like Futakoi, not sure about Alternative as I've not seen it, but I'd doubt it. Green Green TV is very fanservicy (it's an H-game!! but the TV series is a good attempt to dumb down to ecchi standards for TV). But if I can enjoy Sailor Moon, I think you can enjoy Green Green TV very much (guessing), give it 10 episodes than you'll get to the major substance. Ah My Goddess TV might be of interest. I heard it's lackluster, I know it's slow but I've only seen the first 6 eps than it was licensed. DearS as well. Soukyuu no Fafner and Macross Zero for mecha shows with substance. Gundam Seed Destiney for over hyped crap. (ok my distro was out of sinc, unwatchable but...)
