Cheers Angel, one can never have too much magical girl. And yes the opening for Tsubasa is quite fantastic.

How have you been re-noob'd? :D Personally I would recomend Monster as a series that is scary as anything real that could happen. It is about a Japanese doctor in Germany and a series of murders that happens because of a choice that he makes. Good stuff!! but it will take a few episodes to get into...

I guess because I haven't followed anything since "fumoffu?" that a nd the very nature of this thread (although it hasn't been so bad).

How many episodes to get into it exactly? Although your breif synopsis does sound promising.

Three episodes will get you really hooked, but the setup is very important... The doctor is working in Germany and about to marry the hospital director's daughter. His life is set for the fast track with everything going to work out... until one day he is stopped from operating on a poor patient because a more rich one demands him, the top talent. The poor patient dies and his choices haunt him. When another situation like that appears, he starts and completes a surgery saving a child rather than be pulled off to perform surgery on the local mayor. The mayor dies and so does his career. The doctor is just starting to accept his choices when all of the medical doctors that damaged his career die mysteriously. Then his career goes back on track... 10 years pass and it is after the end of the cold war... and now the man that benefitted the most from their deaths is now under suspicion for killing them... It is a real suspense driven story... WATCH IT NOW!!

Oh, and the new Black Jack. Not NEARLY as good as the old one... but still, turn on the kiddy filter and it's good ;p But I'm still not sure wich Black Jack I've watched. The one on Animesuki.

I recently bought Elfin Lied, It's a very disturbing series, but the way it's set up, you can't help but watch, despite the mountains of dismembered bodies and sea of blood that Lucy has a tendency to leave in her wake.

Also, I would highly recommend the remake of Appleseed. A very awesome movie.

Forget what I said before, just get Bleach. Hot shounen fighting show with beautiful stories packed into one anime. It's the 2nd most watched fansub next to Naruto......oh, you should check out Naruto too.
