NIN - All the love in the world
An Evangelion AMV told from Asuka's perspective painting the story of her rotten life w/ Shinji.
The idea came to me when I realized one of the surreal scenes in EoE is in continuity. The scene when Asuka and Shinji are in the kitchen, Shinji begs for help Asuka rejects him and then Shinji tries to choke her to death. There is a frame or two in D&R that suggest that the scene falls in the timeline between episode 23 and 24, right before Kaworu arrives.
I was thinking you could start it from the bathtub scene where Asuka slit her wrists, and then start from the beginning like she's watching her life flash before her eyes. Look back on happy beginnings and then we see a downward spiral of misery as she is victimized thoughout the series. Keep it really mauvid
And suddenly, when the song hits the halfway point and the piano comes in, start to kick it up a knotch, like a turning point. Make Asuka look intimidating, and mingle in scenes of the point where she is strangled by Shinji in the kitchen. Try to illustrate that it's Shinji that she blames for everything (hence "Why do YOU get all the love in the world!")
Then, when the climax comes in at 4:15, bring out all of Asuka's best moments of ass-kicking! And finish the sequence at 4:48 with her knocking Shinji down and standing tall and proud over his pathetic body in the kitchen.
Finally, as the song slows to it's halt, use some soft scenes that make her look like the independant woman she was at the start. But don't pick any scenes that have too much activity. Use stills, CG art, or play scenes at half speed. I reccomend finishing the music video with The scene of her writing her name on the chalkboard and spinning around looking so happy.
She don't need that wimp.

Try your best to make Shinji look like the center of attantion while Asuka is sort of left out on the side lines. Now that the director's cut is available, you should have some extra stuff to work with.
Also, I should point out that anyone who choses to make this video should be prepared for many flames from ShinjixAsuka fans.

i wasnt trying to be a dick...
the thing with the suggestions forum, is that people assume that the video idea they suggest will be made. the only way for someone to be sure that their idea is going to be made is to make it theirselves.
as for the must live in america part, america is a large set of 2 continents, and we both infact live on that continent

So then what's the point of a suggesstion forum if all you expect is for me to do it myself. You should be taking this to the mods, not stating the obvious in an attempt to look better than me.
Just throwing the idea out there buddy. That's why this forum is here.

I'd like to see it made, but I'm no editor. Not my field. I'm between jobs while I work on my portfolio; but as long as I have a welth of ideas, I'll continue dumping them into the web for others to build from.
I expect it to be made because I expect somebody sooner or later to have a similar idea. So I'm not worried.
