Windows Movie Maker 1: In Need of Assistance

Post by anime_angel_ash » Mon May 09, 2005 11:19 pm

Yes, it is true. For some reason, I lack the mental capacity to work Windows Movie Maker 1. The biggest problem I have is with the music. For some reason, I am unable to mute the sound already attached to the clips and add the music. However, I'm also having troubles with the fade out and such. I've tried the tutorials, but they don't give me the information I need. So, I've come to ask you, the good people of a-m-v.org, for help. Can someone tell me how to work this God forsaken program?

Also, as a side note, I don't really have the ability to download a better program, at least not currently. As of now, I have a Windows ME system, and it refuses to download any newer versions of my current program. In addition, it seems to be rejecting other sorts of movie maker programs as well. If someone can't tell me how to use WMM, can someone recommend an ME friendly program for me to use?

There should be a volume option somewhere with a slider that goes between 100% video clip audio and 100% audio clip audio. Drag it all the way to the audio clip audio side.
I know it's directly accessible from one of the menus, but as I have WMM2, I don't remember which one.

my guide to wmm2. most of the stuff works the same with wmm1, with some exceptions.

for video effects, like fade out, with wmm, try http://www.amvwiki.org/index.php/Video_effect

 I love you people more than you could ever possibly imagine. Without your help, I never would have figured out how to make it work. You are saints!
