Looking for depressing songs

Pain's Fade Away is my fave song about suicide; another good one would be Godgory's Final Journey, both about death.

Consider something instrumental. Then you don't have to worry about matching lyrics.

If you're desperate for a song, visit a good lyrics site and type in some keywords (although death, dead, dying etc. are very common in songs). Many times even if a song doesn't come up that will work perfectly, the artist will have done other songs along the same vein that you never would have thought of.

They Might Be Giants have a lot of songs with really depressing and bleak lyrics. If you want the music to be bleak and depressing as well, go to the store and buy any CD with people dressed in black and moping on the cover and you'll probably hit paydirt.

But bonus points if you end up making an AMV using Captain Beefheart's "Dachau Blues."
