Can any of the pros give advice to this newb?
Hi. I love Watching AMVs and I myself am an artist and would really REALLY like to make one. I have a brand new dell, XP and all. ((Although my house is condemmed to kill every piece of technology ever to carress it's tabletops) So what I'm asking is, In you're opinion, what is the most cost effective way without downloading to get the AMV recquired software. Im so lost.... PLEAS HELP!

But for a lot of AMV-related programs, downloading is fine because the programs are free (and, in some cases, Free). Like with <a href="http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net">VirtualDubMod</a>, <a href="http://www.dvddecrypter.com">DVD Decrypter</a>, <a href="http://www.avisynth.org">AVISynth</a>, <a href="http://www.koepi.org">XviD</a>,...

If you're anti-piracy, install linux and use cinelerra. And yes, I am serious. It's all open source, all free, and used to create several big screen movies so they can take even more money out of our pockets for profit. Find a wonderful review here:

Yes, I have done this, but I own Premiere legally, and as such, my wish to experiment gave way to my wish to finish videos in a timely manner.
