True, but Mana wasn't in Girlfriend 2
It's probably just an art thing some of the designers of Girlfriend of Steel did for a magazine. Remember, GOS is supposed to take place between Episode 24 and End of Evangelion. Kaworu and Toji're already dead (I'm going by the comics... having Toji live was the biggest cop-out they had on that show; he should've shoved off his mortal coil and joined the bleedin choir invisible like the good little plot device he is.
