I was going to ressurect this thread but it looks like you guys beat me to it
Situation: Editing wise, the project is done.
Problem: I keep winding up with a filesize far too large for online distro.
Details: I'm using the settings in A&E's Xvid guide and have been playing around with the kbps, but always ending up with a file ranging from 230-250 MB so I'm perplexed. I'm trying to aim at 150-175 MB. The resized frame is 480x320, but right now I'm seeing how big (and decent looking) a 420x280 will look.
Any thoughts, mates?

Is 230MB too big or something? It seems about right. It's a 13 minute song, so it becomes around 17MB per minute. I mean, idealy you want 10 - 15MB per minute, but 17 is alright.
Also, I don't know how you're going to be able to get us the project when you aren't online much anyway. :P

gah
Oh humanity!!! I might as well ask for the project on a CD, as it would take me about 20 hours to download such a project, and that being under the assumption that my computer and/or internet would last for 20 hours without crashing. Oh, woe upon my family's dialup and I!
I guess my bro's can get it for me when they go off to college and have themselves a nice T1. Or I can try and get it from a friends house. If PRM can get a project online without internet, by golly I'll find some way to get it without the internet!!!!
Yay for the FFVI project!
