Escaflowne?

Hey everyone I'm new here, and I've just gotten into a anime called Escaflowne, it's great and I love everything about it, what do you guys think, is it worth me going out and buying the seris on DVD, because I'm planning on doing that.

The series is definietly worth buying altough I don't know where you come from since the price for the dvd differ depending on where you live. But I watched the series and it's a great artwork the storyline, the charadesgin and the animations are very good. And it has great potential for amvs since there are alot of different sidestories and alot of intersting characters. But still I think the movie is better since the charadesign of Van and the other protagonists is much better in cases of their personality (which may just be personal preference though).

Well I live in Canada, and I own the movie, and yes the movie is way better, everyone is way more ditail etc. Plus I enjoyed the character Dilandu, he's awsome lol

I'll agree that the movie is cooler than the show, but no way is it better.

If you've sampled the show and you think it's looking good, buy it. It only gets better.

The movie was a spiffy way to take the characters and make its own storyline.

However, I think that the series is better. I own the entire show in VHS, dub, and I think that they did an excellent job. Of course, stay away from any Escaflowne DVDs or VHS that has FoxKids on it. *kills 'em* They completely trashed the series.

But! It's definetly worth buying. You have action, romance, plot twists, cat girls, bishonen.... It's a great anime for all!
