But they already released one of those...

(One of my friends got it for a nice price; it included booklet and pencil board as well. I love Pioneer/Geneon's boxset booklets, from the ones I've seen...)

Geneon still has a fair amount to go down on price before they're competitive with, say, ADV's re-releases. The HR boxset is the same as the standard $30 per disk MSRP, and I can probably find the single disks and artbox cheaper separately, once I decide to replace my bootleg of that show :? . They already released Chobits 1-6 in 2 volumes, and I picked up those for $80 total, although I decided to waste 12 bucks and pick up volume 7 (yes, I already know it's recap episodes).

No problem.

If you want to get the "original" Evangelion episodes and Director's cut DVDs (not the recently remaster Platinum versions), it seems that ADV Films is having a sale on all of them for $10.49 each:

http://www.advfilms.com/CatalogFilms_Vo ... Evangelion

Note that, while much cheaper, these are the original edits of the TV show, and do not include the remastered footage, sound, or extras that the recently released Evangelion Platinum series has.

It seems that right now, they've discounted Volume 1 of Platinum (and the Volume 1 with the Artbox included), so you can get a good deal of that DVD.

Here's ADV Films' catalog site for Eva Platinum:

For the figurines, you'll most likely have to find someone who can order through Diamond Publishing. I've learned that they have a lock-down on many of the popular figurine imports out there.

However, some sites do carry a few unique import figurines.
