How Do I Get A Video from a DVD?

I have some Anime DVDs that I want to use in an AMV, but I don't know how to get them from the discs to the computer. Any suggestions?

Don't really need help on Video Processing, but thanks for the tutoral. I just downloaded the ripper, so I can make my videos now. ^_^

Yes you do. Otherwise your video that you ripped from the DVD will look pretty bad.
