Do you have a DVD-Rom drive? If you do, go to www.doom9.org and download dvd decrypter or Absolute Destiny's AMVapp which is on this site. I think doing it through a capture card would be alittle harder heh :P

Of course you found nothing. That's because you don't import footage from your DVD's with windows media player :roll:

only way we can help you is when we know if you have a dvd drive or not also what kind of program do you edite with? also saves a lot of trouble when pointing you into a guide ^^

I distinctly saw a video capture card there. Do you have a standard DVD player? If so, then hook up your card to the DVD player and open up the software that came with the card. It should come with capturing software as well as viewing software. If you have an ATI card, I can go into more detail. I have successfully captured footage this way more than once.

Maybe I should write up a guide.
