Looking for something
First an Foremost, I'm a rocker. My rock tastes are very brawd takes music from every genre. I also like Techno. I have a few techno songs that I picked up here and there. but for awhile I've been wondering if there is a genre or bang that is a cross between the 2. I have a few songs like that from Command and Conquer soundtracks and the music I ripped from Half Life 2. Instramental Rock would be the term that comes to mind when I think of those songs. I'm looking for songs that have a good rock beat, and no words. If someone can point me to some bands or a genre, that would be great.

Dream Theater is great, but they are not solely an instrumental band. Hell, only one song off of Awake is instrumental, but there are lots of nice solos throughout the album. In addition, they also have very little remnants of techno.
I can't think of any instrumental techno-rock bands but you might check out Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gordian Knot, and Zebulon Pike for some good instrumental rock.

I would say Man or Astro-Man?, but they are a very eccentric blend of surf rock (think Beach Boys), 50s science fiction and mystery movies samples, and electronic mayhem. Made from Technetium or Experiment Zero are good albums to start from.

I'd have to recommend Die Krupps, as they are the only industrial band I've really gotten into. As far as notoriety, I should be able to safely recommend Pig, KMFDM, :wumpscut:, and VNV Nation. From what I've heard of each, they are all pretty different.TheKorovaMilkbar wrote:What about this industrial instrumental you speak of? Any suggestions?
