The main character's would-be girlfriend has the ability to electricute him/fry him at will or send him flying into the stratosphere with a single punch or kick, and does so on a regular basis.
The main character is a fairly average guy with more suiters than he can imagine (or wants, for that matter).
People constantly make references to Ki, Chakra, Energy, Mana, or anything of the like, and how little the main character has at this most crucial time.
Giant Robots are commonplace, even though there is no logical reason for them to exist aside from BEING giant robots with lots of weapons.
People use Katanas more often than guns, and about ten times more effectively, despite the fact that it is circa 3,000 AD and guns exist that can cut through steel.
When you transform into your Magical Girl outfit, you look exactly the same, you're wearing 40% less clothing, and you don't even have a mask on, yet somehow NO ONE notices who you are, not even your mother.
The Laws of physics are non-existant.
