Yeah, I say that show in Hong Kong. It was on the kid's channel. I like my anime in cantonese. But that's beside the point. Anyways, that's where different companies come into play. Some might not want parents to complain about violoent tv shows that are on a kid's channel.

Take cbc4kids as an example, they have a show called CyberChase with a bad guy who's trying to take over the world by stealing different things from different systems. I mean, the animation's cute, and I like the show, they put it on cause it's educational. Now, on another channel, they have Power Rangers, they've had that show through every evolution of the rangers, now why is it that power ranger, an equally violent show, showing ACTAUL people being thrown around like a rag doll, not be cut. While a cartoon, colour on paper, be cut because of the violent GRAPHICS???? I mean, if the parent can show their kids that what's going on in the show is not real and that pain and death is not fictional. Then, what's the problem?

I think that when you were a kid, your parents told you that what was in the cartoon was not real and that Wile E. Coyote falling from the top of the cliff was in the tv only. And that if it really happened, it would hurt A LOT???

What I think is stupid is showing EDITED episodes on a block of TV meant for adults!! If it's for adults, why not show the uncut eps.?!? :x

Maybe they think that adults wouldn't like to see those 'gruesome parts' done in an anime??? :?:

actually my parents told me that whats on tv should just be for WATCHING not re-enacting. and who knows why they edit stuff on a channel or a specific time slot for adults but i think its sad for them.

I know. It sort of restricts or should I say, doesn't give special privileges to a more mature audience. I only guessing. :?

Depends on the mindset of the people behind the editing. Maybe they think that at that hour, kids would probably still be up and don't want to take any chances. But still, who'd be up at 3 in the morning??????

Speak for yourself, I watch anime until 6 every morning, as long as I don't have to work at 11 AM. . .
