AMVapp and DGIndex

Post by Heroine of Time » Wed Jun 29, 2005 12:44 pm

Okay...when using DGIndex to turn your videos into a .d2v file, (assuming that you have AMVapp) isn't your video also supposed to automatically turn into a .avs file due to AMVapp?

That's apparently the idea. (Don't take me as an expert on this, I've only gone through that set up once. But it did work.)

Well, while I don't know why your avs file isn't being made, that's not a problem at all. Just open VirtualDubMod (included in the AMVapp) and choose "Open via AviSynth". This will create an avs file that you can edit pressing ctrl+e, or opening the file in Notepad.

Good luck.

ANTDrakko wrote:These problems sound a LOT like you don't have the latest version, although you swear you do.

So, humor me:

goto Start -> Settings -> Control Panel. Goto Add/Remove Programs and uninstall AMVApp (which should be version 2.1), AMVapp Audio apps 2.0 and AMVapp Support Tools 2.0.

If you don't have all of these, chances are you DIDN'T have the latest version. Anywho:

after that, goto http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html
and download the latest AMVApp and install it.

THAT should do it. If not then make sure your user account has administrative rights; I'm not entirely sure that a limited user account can install AMVApp fully.
