Yep, same here.

Although if it's my own video and I want to make sure the field order is okay before I send it to a contest, I'll burn it to DVD-RW and watch it on my TV :P
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I find that parties are the best times to showcase your work.

Even if people have never seen an amv before it gives them a chance to see something new and when they do see it they are always like "wow, you did that?"

That's the best

Then, again so is some nice sake shouting out BONZAI!!!!

Meh... it really depends...

Sometimes, I watch one video and all of a sudden I get the urge to keep watching and I end up loading up the entire playlist and clicking random and putting it on fullscreen... 2 hours or so later I realise I wasted a lot of time watching things I've watched countless times already...

On other times, I purposely put in an AMV or two in between certain episodes of anime I'm currently following on weekly basis.

When I'm studying or just generally browsing or writing, sometimes instead of loading my music, I play AMVs and then minimize Windows Media Player and it gets integrated into the task bar. I then switch on that mini-screen and everytime I see a video that is a 'must see' I go fullscreen again before continuing afterwards for more of what I was already doing.

I've had a few times when I spent an entire day on AMVs, but these are usually organised events among my circle of friends where we use AMVs as a reason to socialise.

Bingo. Same here.

As for by myself, I make like Beowulf, when I'm watching my favs (usually 4-5), I turn out the lights and go fullscreen, and crank up the volume.

I stick the USB cable straight into the back of my head, Matrix style.
...
...
Actually, I just hit full screen, shut off the lights, and blast the audio through my headset.
