Astroboy comes to mind, that's probably the oldest one...

...by the way, wrong section. This is a better topic for General Anime
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

In that case, AMV suggestions 8-)

Yes, Kimba is anime. Yes, I believe I've heard of it advertised on DVD, but don't quote me on it yet... you might have trouble finding it.

Gigantor is a very old anime, but I have no idea as to when it first came to the U. S.

There was a boom in dubbing movies back in the early to mid 90s. I still remember Sci-Fi Channel airing Dominion Tank Police, 8 Man After, Galaxy Express 999, Patlabor, Venus Wars, and the like around '97 or so.

Then you've also got Macross/Robotech, of course, the 80s Gundam series, Voltron, Gatchaman, Lupin, etc.

1963 - Astro Boy was the first full TV anime series. It was in black and white, and remade from scratch in the 80's to full colour.

1966 - Gigantor, Marine Boy, Kimba the White Lion

1967 - Speed Racer
