I think Sawa from Kite: directors Cut is one of the sexiest Character designs ive seen in a long ass time.

OOOOkay, time to help the noob - A "Yankii" in Japanese means "Homely Girl," it's in no way a reference to Yankee, or American; and her name isn't Yankii, she IS a Yankii (don't worry, I always call her "The Yankii anyway - I can't remember her name.

There are so many cute anime girls its hard to narrow it down to one.

Raquel Kazull - Scrapped Princess
Shaorin Shugogetten - Mamotte Shugogetten
Hikari - This Ugly and Beautiful World

Konoye from Hanaukyo Maids is also a favorite, especially IIRC in La Verite when she thinks no one is looking and starts getting all cute and happy talking to the puppy.

I don't remember them calling anybody "Sato" in Eva.
There IS Saito, as in Hajime Saito from Kenshin, but he ain't hot anyway you look at him (badass for sure, but so ugly he's oogly).
