That was for Giant Robot Week, a one-time thing. I don't think they ever intended to show more than those two episodes.

Just like how they only showed the first two or so episodes of Nadesico. Too bad it's only going to be the dubbed version of Eva, Spike Spencer is harmful to my ears.

They are going to hack Evangelion up worse than Shinji taking apart Toji's Eva!!!

Long time fans of the series will react like Mia did when she saw Unit 1 take the S^2 engine into itself BARF!! Hell people, this series was considered going too far when it was shown the first time on Japanese television

Actually they showed the first episode, one from the middle of the series, and the second to last one or so. Until I got the series I though the show just moved incredibly fast
