I'm looking for music that sounds similar to Liquid man by Theatre of Tragedy (amv) and Room of Angel in the Silent Hill 4 OST (amv. not sure if theirs a specific genre. Something thats soothing, yet dark, with good female vocals and poetic lyrics.

I've got one of their albums. Their music is too "metal". Not that I dont like it, they're an awsome band. Just no what I'm looking for.

The Gathering has some stuff that shouldn't be too metal for you, and Anneke has a great voice.

For soothing and dark you could try Arcana, but the vocals don't have lyrics and are not very prominant, at least in the album I've heard. Very eerie though.
