Post by the vampire alucard » Tue Jul 12, 2005 10:06 pm

this might sound very weird and funny as hell but are there any amv's out there using really bad polka music or umpa music from ur grandparents age or from poland or germany octoberfest type stuff. just curious ive seen rock, jazz, dance, rap, jpop, ragtime,r&b amv's but no polka or might be one who knows.

There are a number of Weird Al Yankovic AMVs.

He makes a polka compilation of various song lyrics at the time of each of his albums. Its pretty interesting to see how the main lyrics of several songs fit together in a polka that imitates the sound of each song.

Funny Stuff.

I doubt you'll find an AMV to actual polka music though...because...it is boring.
Plus if you're spending money you should get something you like and polka is not going to be on the top most people's lists.

And I think you have to go back to vinyl in most cases for grandparent music.
Though a few songs from the 50s made it to AMVs. And of course The Beatles.

Anyway I did a search and nothing turns up.

jimmy_neutron, just how old are you? Unless your under 10, Jimmy Neutron is a little "kiddy" for someone your age.

I was gonna suggest that.

To think, between Weird Al and Finntroll, I doubt you'll get any closer to actual polka. Anything outside contemporary popular music is generally rare for AMVs. I'd be surprised if any non-electronic dance music (well, besides disco maybe) had AMVs to it...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
