it's sorta obvious though when it comes to voicing for young boys that they are usually girls if they have a bit of a high pitch, for instances Yahiko (actually i'm assuming, better check but i'm sure he is voiced by a women). In Japan mainly women voice the leading roles of guys eg Full Alchemist - Edward, Kenshin etc

i really dont understand why they cant just get kids to do kids voices..the dubbing of asuka in eva when shes a kid and also chiyo chan were very starined and ruined the dub for me.

It's mostly due to children lacking proper acting experience. It's hard enough to find desent child actors in hollywood little alone desent child voice actors.

Personally I'm pissed that they don't use females for male roles here like they do in Japan. For example Yuki's voice was perfect in japanese but the dub just wasn't up to far with the feminine qualities that the character had.

But the English dub for Yuki had a suave voice. Hell, my sister went gaga over him because of that (she's not really into girly-gay bishounen; thank GOD she has taste).
