What is the best MECH fight ever...?!

OK. I need some help.

I'm doing a uni media project and I'm looking for the ultimate anime robot fight scene! I'd love to hear peoples' opinions. I'm talking the longest, MOST epic one-on-one battles. I'm sure everyone's got their favorite. And not just flash new animation styles, I'd like to hear about the classics as well.

I've seen a fair bit of anime, but clearly nowhere near as much as everybody else here... Please help me - deadline is looming!!!!

First one that comes to mind... The very first Eva fight in Evangelion, against the Third Angel.

There's also a ton in Escaflowne, and Gundam Wing has some really nice ones, also.

YF-19 vs. YF17 vs. X-9 from Macross Plus. Still the greatest anime action sequence ever, in my opinion.

I was gonna mention RahXephon but the Mecha fights in it aren't really mecha fights.So I would have to say some real mecha fights good sone to are in full metal panic epseciallt the firs tone was pretty good.

Giant Robo Vs. That Giant Floating Eye thingy
Kikaider Vs. His Brother
Eva 01 Vs. The Angel That Chopped Off ************'s Head!

And then there'll be more as I think of it.

Oh, boohoo, so they're giant cyborgs/bioengineered-giants.. they still are giant, they still require a pilot, and they STILL kick ASS.
