Since when did eva's requir a pilot? And they've had their asses kicked a few times.

Seriosly though, you would expect a uni student to come up with something a little deeper and less childish than "whats the best mech fight ever".

Destructacon vs. Superion! No but I get the feeling it has to be a Transformers thing.... I'll take GIGANTOR robot fighting over teeney crap any day. Except maybe Macross fights, those quick fights are awesome, edged out by a fantasy giant robot fight but just bareley -_-.

Gonna have to agree with this one. Even now, the technology, time, effort, and money to animate that battle is still more than anything I see done these days. Brilliant battle and there was something more in it because it was personal.
