I assume that's supposed to be volumes and not episodes?
*goes searching*

Nope, according to ICv2 News it's 13 episodes per box.

So what do you guys think? Should I give it a chance? The only thing that I am concerned about is that I will not be able to keep the subtitles from showing up on my vid. Do you think that when ripping these DVD's that I could click for no subtitles?

You'll be able to remove the subtitles, but the video quality will still suck - remember, THEY'RE BOOTLEGS. They're cramming an ungodly amount of episodes onto each disc so the bitrate will be really low...

But isn't this how most Naruto AMV makers get their footage? I know that you can purchase legitimate Region 2 DVD's but these are really expensive and I doubt most people have the money to afford them.

One final question. Does 21 episodes spread across 3 DVD's sound like the quality will be bad? I know that I will have to clean up the footage a little bit, but don't want to have to give it a complete makeover.

Someone totally ignored my last post.

Most Naruto AMV makers either hunt down raws or work around fansubs (the Widescreen Crop), but either way they have to do filtering. You'll probably have to do a lot of filtering with the bootlegs, since the interlacing is usually horrible and the colors are faded.

No.. most Naruto AMVs here are made by downloading the footage from fansub groups using Bit Torrent or IRC.
