Greetings Pan, welcome to the Org.

To answer your question about TekkaMan, or also known as "TeknoMan" to some here in the United States, here's what I can tell you.

The original 1970's TekkaMan was, as far as I know, NOT released in the states. It was part of the Tatsunoko anime company's "Hero" series of shows which included other popular shows like "GatchaMan" and "Casshan: The Robot Hunter" among others. TekkaMan was one of their big hits in the 70's, but not many in the USA knew about it until somewhere in the mid 90's.

UPN Kids, a small syndicated network kids block that was watched by few and remembered by even fewer, got the rights to air an anime show, which was quite unusual for the time, that they called "TeknoMan".

Unknown to the viewers in the USA, TeknoMan was a remake of the original TekkaMan and was called "TekkaMan Blade" in Japan.

26 episodes were dubbed, out of the 49 that were ever made, thus US audiences never got to know the ending to the series which cut off halfway through. (I hate it when they do that!)

Later on, Urban Vision, a small anime publishing company in the USA, got the rights to TekkaMan Blade 2, which was an OAV sequel to TeknoMan, but followed different characters.

These three series:

TekkaMan
TekkaMan Blade
TekkaMan Blade 2

compile ALL of the TekkaMan anime that was EVER made as far as I know. Since it's a rather old show, I doubt that any other companies, outside of Tatsunoko who I am sure are working on other projects, will bring more TekkaMan to anime anytime soon.

However, I do believe that bringing "TeknoMan" to DVD is something that should be done for the fans around the world, because while TekkaMan was kind of cheesy, TeknoMan was REALLY good, even for an English dub on a small syndicated kids network... It was REALLY good!

Here is some information I dug up for you:

And finally, since you speak Dutch, I want to ask you a question:

Don't you think it would be neat to see an anime adaptation of "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen"?

I'm not Dutch, but - very yes. 8-)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
