I'm swaying more with Utorak, because it's true that an AI has the capacity to become human. Yet, if humans prevent any type of education to show the AI or clone, kina like 'opening their eyes' and letting them see the world as it really is, then by the AIs learn whatever they could have learnt earlier on, there would probably be no use for them any more.
I apologize, but I must say something from The Matrix : Humans depend on machines to make life a little easier. And machines depend on humans because it gives them a purpose. Without humans, machines are useless. And without machines, humans are practically helpless.

This is sorta double sided. In the dawn of time when humans were premitive no machines were around to help survival and common interests like war or communication. So Humans can live without machines its just an extremely harsh enviroment. Machines wouldn't be created without humans so in a way they are dependant on humans and yet if they have not been created then there is no need for dependancy.underworld_princess wrote:Without humans, machines are useless. True, when humans first started out, they did not have any machines. But that doesn't ignore the fact that they had created 'simple' machines to help with their every day lives. The machines were not as luxurious as we see them now, but the primitive human did have machines to help them every day. A really thick tree branch was turned into a club, which was later perfectioned, where the primitive human added a rock.
Okay, maybe that wasn't an AI or anything, but it was a tool to help facilitate their lives. Yes, I totally agree that this is double sided, so it really depends on what the person thinks....or argues, whichever comes first.
