I have MacTheRipper and I love it. I use it to rip audio and make MP3s.JudgeHolden wrote:I have been screwing around and found a way to get a near DVD quality. I started using the program called Mactheripper and it can rip the DVD directly to Mpeg2. Now with iMovieHD the problems found in the guide have been eliminated and you can deal with any size file, so I import directly. This allows you to skip the conversion process (a process in which you do loos quality). Now I rip by chapter so the chunks are not to big. The only issue is time, as Mpeg2s of that size can take a while to import, but the quality makes up for it. I working on a AMV right now with this process and it seems to be working great. I have used the process that you guys said for my first AMV and I was unhappy with the quality.
Thanks,

Anyway, you're saying I should get iMovie HD instead of Quicktime Pro. Hmm, might be a better choice, seeing as how there's no converting required and HD has sound effects.
