Say that to people who buy their anime rather than download it. Or better yet dont say anything, at all.

Why would you want to keep with everything? Are you that addicted?

You know what, this seems rather pointless. I think I might just post the signal.

psh

And why, praytell, would anyone want to keep up with all the anime titles?

Anime is like everything else. >90% of it is not worth your attention at all, period.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I remember back in the mid 90's my friends and I had seen everything that was released in America. I used to say that I'd seen everything in the store. I slowly fell behind and now I just don't even try. I've got over 600 DVDs in my Greencine queue and it's still growing. The anime market in America is reaching a saturation point. There will soon be a bubble burst like the .coms.

What's the name of that rule? "80% of everything out there is crud."

Then maybe we should make a tread out if Anime is reaching it's top and what is in store for the future? will it crash? will it stay at this point?

Good question. Nah, I'm addicted to anime and it will still be my hobby for a good long while, I'm sure.

I think we're eventually going to see that there are more companies and titles than the fanbase can afford to buy. We're already at the point that, despite what most people believe, only 1 out of 10 anime series produced in Japan actually turn out a profit. The banks and investors will run out of money to loan. Eventually many of the American release companies will fold.

The amount of titles out there now is the result, I think, mostly of speculation and hope that the series will be the next big thing in the industry. Eventually we'll find out really how much money there is to spend on anime. The only negative effect to us fans might be a lesser selection, relatively, and we probably can't get the DVDs that were made by a folding company.

I think there's too much music personally...far moreso than anime.
