The problem w/ the airplane Skuld made was that it was NOT based on the Wright brothers' Flyer I which first flew successfully on December 17, 1903; Skuld based her design on Langley's failed design, which crashed earlier that month. (Like the one Gan-Chan flew, Langley's plane also crashed into water -- the Potomac River).

Kiki's Delivery Service question: It's a Studio Ghibli movie and it contains an advertisement banner for Studio Ghibli. Where exactly in the movie did they place it? Hint: It's a European style town, so they used Latin letters only.
