What is naruto about?

I've yet to see it, but I keep getting told it's a DBZ clone, more or less.

But then, I usually don't listen to what random people tell me.

It was inspired by DBZ, which would mean it'd be similar to DBZ. The fighting isn't like DBZ. It's more strategy from what I've seen.

Personally, ninjas kicking ass is enough for me, but I won't be surprised if some of the more difficult themes get smoothed over for the 'target audience'.

Don't argue why you like the show or not. More than likely, since you've mentioned you like DBZ better in your opinion, someone's gonna start to stir something up. You'll most likely hear a shit-load of reasons why not to like DBZ and why you should love Naruto.

You got an import?

There's no way you got a legal import, you probably got the HK import. You shouldn't base the quality of an anime on a HK import. I don't think anyone should trust someones opinion of an anime if they're basing it off of a HK import they saw.

Well, the image quality of the product was perfect, i just didnt like it, got a problem with that?
