people liking anime all over the world and why

It is like what LenWidleheyt said. It has to do with the sexy characters and the story lines. And it is better than American anime.

Anime, unlike cartoons found in most parts of the world seems to have something to cater to every one. Not just children or the perverse. If you are immature you can watch giant robots go at it, or is you are deeply interested in relationships there are countless anime out there that focus primarily on that. Stuff for little boys and little girls, stuff for the philosiphers out there stuff for the action junkie and stuff for the romanic or just the person who is looking for a laugh. Why is anime so popular has the same answer to the question why do people like american movies. In anime as well as big studio movies, quality is key. The anime has characters who look more human and express their emotions better than say the Simpsons characters.

For me, the biggest draw is origionality. You won't find a show about an alternate past or about a guy who runs an all female dorm in north america, heck even in europe that's pushing it. Every new anime seems to have somethign different to offer. Look at the 2 most popular american made cartoons, The Simpsons and The Family Guy, both deal with a white suburban families who deal with similar issues. Not every thing in anime is comedy either some of it is very serious. thinkin in the rest of the world is that animation is some what of a novelty and that you can't take it seriously because the people aren't real. Not so with anime.

Anime is really very broad, when 2 people say they like anime they probably won't like all the same genres.
