Is there going to be a Fruits Basket Season Two?

The reason I asked this question is that, Fruits Basket is my favorite anime and I would really like to see a season two for this series.

There hasn't been any word of a second season of Fruits Basket. Though I did hear the FUNimation started this "uproot" project in order to get the producers to create it.

The director strongly insists "NO," but you can follow Funimation in bugging the hell outta the Fruits Basket Committee.

I heard that too! Something about collecting paper cranes at conventions, and when they have enough, they're sending them as a kind of petition thing to whoever makes Fruits Basket. I really hope they'll be successful!!!

Definately. I would totally want another one! I loved the first one, and the manga! A second season would be awesome!

I agree!

coz' there are so many charcters that they left out like Kureno(the rooster) and Rin (the horse)

and so many things they put in the manga and not in the series

It's not so much that they left stuff out of the anime, it's just that the anime caught up to where the manga was at that point. A few things did get left out, however, but overall, the anime follows the first 6-7 volumes fairly closely.

If they do make a second season, I would hope that they at least wait until the manga is finished. Although, if they want to keep it true to the manga, they're going to have to somehow work in the little bits that were left out concerning Shigure. . .

Right now I actually don't think they can unless they make a few critical changes. This is only from the info that I heard in the manga. It might be a bit difficult for one character in particular. Besides I think I rather have my FB in this form and for once read a manga to get the rest of the story.
