a friend informed me last time that they are still waiting on how ppl liked the first one...wouldnt be a surprise if they are already in production considering how many ppl fell in luv with em ^-^;; and yes i think they would add some new characters (if there is a second season) since they left out other characters not mention other sodiacs from the first one...
later...

I wouldn't put too much stock in what your friend said::..Darkamist..: wrote:a friend informed me last time that they are still waiting on how ppl liked the first one...wouldnt be a surprise if they are already in production considering how many ppl fell in luv with em ^-^;;
1) Fruits Basket aired in 2001, four years ago. There's no way they're "still waiting" to see how much people liked it.
2) As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, the director of the first season screwed up big-time. The gender of a certain character was blatantly shown to be male, when the opposite was revealed to be true later on in the manga. There's just no correcting that.

The problem is, though, that the voice is distinctly male. So they'd either have to get a new VA and pretend that the character assumed a male voice (which isn't said in the manga, so I guess it's just assumed that the character's voice is neutral enough not to attract suspicion), get a new VA and "pretend" that the first one wasn't so masculine-sounding, or just pretend that the character DOES have a very masculine voice. I'm sure they'd figure some way to work around it, it just might be very. . . akward.

I hope notKathreen wrote:The reason I asked this question is that, Fruits Basket is my favorite anime and I would really like to see a season two for this series.
