Suggestions For Starting New Series

I'm thinking of starting to watch a new series of anime, and i was hoping for some suggestions. I've watched:

Inuyasha
Fullmetal Alchemist
Fruits Basket

Not much I know, but those are the main ones i've watched. So, if you have a suggestions, please tell me a little bit on what its about, and why you like it. I'd really appriciate it!

If you don't have any specific genre then:

Weird: FLCL, Paranoia Agent, Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion

Comedy: Full Metal Panic!, Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu, Excel Saga, Azumanga Daioh

Action: Bleach, Gungrave, Chrno Crusade (is slightly religious), Berserk, Scryed, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo

Horror: Hellsing, Elfen Lied (is incredibly gory, but worth it)

Cute: Pretear, Tokyo Mew Mew, The Cat Returns (movie), Howl's Moving Castle (movie)

Romance: Onegai Teacher (or so i've heard), Love Hina, Chobits

I'm sure there's more i've forgot but these are the main ones.

(internet is the best! lol)

I think that the internet is the number one place to start watching a new anime
(well at least I think)

it's coz' I discovered most of my favorite animes in the internet

like fruits basket, I didn't know anything about it untill I got the internet (of course) I didn't know how or when but I'm just happy that I love it now.

If you liked Inuyasha and Fruits Basket then I recommend more shoujo-y stuff. Utena is a personal fave. First series is really cheap too - 13 eps on two discs

Great Teacher Onizuka
Abenobashi(Magical Shopping Arcade)
FLCL

Action/Drama
Cowboy Bebop
Elfen Lied(a lot of blood in this show, but good)
Naruto
Evangalion(even though i hated it u may like it)
DNAngel(shonen-ai but interesting story, didnt like the yaoi refrences tho...)
Escaflowne
Wolf's Rain
Chrno Crusade
Beserk(also very bloody but very good)
Read or Die
umm, this list can go on forever so im gonna stop, these are all good selections, so watch a few episodes and see if u can get into the story. As for Naruto it took me to episode 18 to be hooked like a fish so just see what u like.
